Westmoreland County, PA — Authorities in Westmoreland County say the owner of a Pennsylvania eatery was reportedly shot and killed outside his own restaurant Thursday morning in Lower Burrell.
Investigators say just after 9 a.m., the owner of Mogie’s Pub, David Magill, was shot outside his business and later died while en route to the hospital.
Officials say a nearby patrolman reportedly heard the gunshots and found Magill with a gunshot wound to his torso.
JOHNSTOWN — After a solid 5-1 victory in Saturday’s PSAC Central Division opener against Clarion at V.E. Erickson Complex, Kristie Radvan drove in three, and Ashley Pagliei tossed a one-hitter to lead Pitt-Johnstown to a 9-1 win in five innings to complete the sweep. The Mountain Cats improved to 10-10 overall and 2-2 in conference-play.

MAHAFFEY – A Clearfield County community continues to mourn the loss of a 15-year-old junior firefighter killed in a freak accident late last month.
On Sunday, the Mahaffey Fire Department held a spaghetti dinner and basket raffle to benefit the family of Thane Lucas.
Police said Lucas, a junior firefighter with the Mahaffey Fire Department, was putting bags in a metal barrel when something inside it exploded.
An item struck Thane in the neck and he died of his injuries later at the hospital.

HOMER CITY – State police in Indiana are seeking to locate a missing teenager from Homer City.
Police said Shannon Irene Sisko, 14, was last seen on Saturday at approximately 5 p.m. near the Sheetz convenience store on State Route 119 in Homer City.
Police said Sisko has a history of running away from home. Foul play is not suspected.
She is described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 135 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Pittsburgh (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Cole Holcomb reportedly suffered a season-ending knee injury in Thursday night's victory over the Tennessee Titans.
According to NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, Holcomb is expected to undergo surgery after being carted off in the first quarter of Thursday's game.
Head Coach Mike Tomlin told reporters after the game that Holcomb's injury was "serious."
Holcomb spent the first four years of his career with the Washington Commanders.
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa (WJAC) — The 8th annual Mack Brady Memorial Soccer Clinic was held Sunday on Penn State University’s campus.
Mack Brady passed away just two weeks before his 9th birthday.
His dream was to grow up and be a Penn State goalkeeper.

DuBois, PA — One local nursing home in DuBois is reporting over 30 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In a letter on the DuBois Continuum of Care's website, as of yesterday the DuBois Nursing Home has four new confirmed resident cases of COVID-19 bringing their total to 22 cases for residents.
The letter also states seven new confirmed staff cases of COVID-19 bringing their staff total to 14.
The DuBois Nursing Home is also reporting two residents and one staff member with new onset of respiratory symptoms within a 72-hour period.

MONROE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A Pennsylvania woman stopped at nothing to save a deer whose head was stuck in a plastic jack-o'-lantern for nearly a week.
Wednesday, Roja Rubi says she saw posts on Facebook from people concerned about a deer wandering around her Monroe County community with a green plastic jack-o'-lantern bucket stuck on its head.
Passionate about wildlife, Rubi says she had to do something.
The bucket was blocking the deer's mouth and she was worried the animal would starve.
HERSHEY, PA (WJAC) - Three local wrestlers left the Giant Center as state champions. In 2A, Forest Hill's Jackson Arrington won his 3rd PIAA Individual Wrestling State Championship on the mats of 152 lbs. In 3A, Central Mountain's Dalton Perry won gold at at 126 lbs. and State College's Pierson Manville won his first state title at 138 lbs. Over 20 wrestlers left with medals in both 2A and 3A.
