LEMONT - The State College Area School District held a public hearing Monday on the closure of Lemont Elementary School. The school has been apart of the district for over seven decades and the losing the building comes as a concern for some residents. The board's current plan is to shut down Lemont Elementary and combine it with Houserville Elementary School, which would put kindergarten through fifth-grade into a new building they would construct near Houserville.
Pittsburgh, Pa (WJAC) — According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly releasing backup quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges to make room on the roster for another backup quarterback, Josh Dobbs.
Dobbs was originally drafted by Pittsburgh in 2017, and was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars at the beginning of last season; the Jaguars then released him this past offseason.
Hodges was signed last season as a free agent and went 3-3 as a starter, while filling in for an injured Ben Roethlisberger and backup Mason Rudolph.
In December officials with the Humane Society of Somerset County said they were over capacity and could no longer take in animals.

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Blair County say an Altoona has been sentenced to jail time and probation after pleading guilty to physically and sexually assaulting a woman last year.
Aaron Foster was arrested last June following a disturbance at a home along 3rd Ave. in the city of Altoona.
Police say the woman stated that Foster "shoved her" and forced her into the bedroom of the home, where he proceeded to sexually assault her, following an altercation about a party that the two had attended.
Philipsburg, PA — Authorities with the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency reported Friday that a detainee escaped from the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, in Philipsburg, earlier this week.
Officials say the "non-citizen" was reportedly captured 90 minutes after the escape on Tuesday night. State police say troopers located the escapee approximately two miles from the facility.
Authorities noted that the individual does not have any "violent or sexual offense convictions.
