Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — We got an inside look of the newly renovated emergency room at Penn Highlands Clearfield on Thursday.
The facility is now capable of handling mass casualty situations, like pileups on the interstate, and also has areas able to handle any future pandemic needs.
The current emergency department will be converted into other medical space for Penn Highlands in the coming months.

State College, PA (WJAC) — Organizers with Penn State's annual 48-hour dance marathon announced Thursday that the 2022 THON event will be held in-person, according to a press release.
THON also announced specific vaccination requirements for certain individuals who will be participating in the event.
Organizers say all students and staff who wish to access the event floor, or mezzanine, will be required to show proof of vaccination.

More than 17,000 bridges lack structural redundancy, just as the Francis Scott Key Bridge did. ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. — On March 21, Devil's Den in Gettysburg will close for rehabilitation lasting around 5 or 6 months, according to the Gettysburg National Military Park. The rehabilitation will focus on the erosion of walkways, as well as safety concerns created from unauthorized social trails, according to the Gettysburg National Military Park. The park says other concentrations of the rehabilitation will be to reestablish, preserve, and protect features of Devil's Den.
PORTLAND, Maine (WGME) — For the 18th time this year, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office took down another illegal marijuana grow house.
No one was home and no arrests were made when they served the drug search warrant Thursday morning.
They uncovered 200 marijuana plants, evidence of 1,500 harvested plants and 30 pounds of processed marijuana at a home in St. Albans, near a daycare.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Lizotte has started forfeiture proceedings on four properties where illegal marijuana grow houses were uncovered by law officers.

WOODWARD TOWNSHIP, Pa (WJAC) -- A drilling company working in Clearfield County is facing a major setback after some tampering with their materials. The superintendent from C & R Directional Boring told 6 News thousands of feet of pipe were ready to be installed and one of them was already in the ground before someone realized something was wrong.
“The stack here that’s all destroyed is 10 different sections, about 4,000 feet,” said Rob Inguagiato, superintendent.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WKRC) - Elvis Presley's iconic Graceland home will be sold to the highest bidder Thursday.
According to WREG, citing a legal notice, Presley's historic home will be sold off at a foreclosure sale on Thursday. Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Richland Township police have filed charges against a local man after he admitted to driving intoxicated and causing a three-vehicle crash near the KFC on Scalp Avenue last July that later claimed the life of a 20-year-old Windber man.
Police say on the evening of July 19th, authorities were dispatched to the area of the KFC restaurant in Richland for a report of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries and entrapment.
