WASHINGTON (TND) — The big-box retailer and hypermarket chain operator Walmart announced Tuesday it would be shuttering all 51 of its health center clinics across six states due to a lack of profitability. "Through our experience managing Walmart Health centers and Walmart Health Virtual Care, we determined there is not a sustainable business model for us to continue," the company said in astatement.
This is a difficult decision, and like others, the challenging reimbursement environment and escalating operating costs create a lack of profitability that make the care business unsustainable for us at this time.
NORTHERN CAMBRIA - A family of four is displaced after a fire ripped through a building in Cambria County Sunday night.
Fire crews said two adults and two children live inside of the building. One man was transported to the hospital to be treated for burns.
The fire happened at the Susquehanna Hotel on Shawna Road in Northern Cambria around 10:30 p.m.
The fire fully engulfed the building, and firefighters eventually had to evacuate the building due to the flames.
HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. — A woman running for Huntingdon County commissioner is accused of strangling her daughter during an argument on Friday, authorities say.
According to a criminal complaint, Andrea Speck, 41, became angry with her daughter for an unknown reason when her daughter got home from work.
The criminal complaint states that Speck began yelling at her daughter after leading her into her bedroom before striking her in the head from behind.
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Johnstown police say a local man is behind bars following an investigation into allegations that he forced a young relative to perform sex acts involving adult sex products.
Police say last August, officers spoke with the victim, who disclosed that she had been sexually assaulted by 33-year-old Scott Wagner.
