WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden has asserted executive privilege over audio of his interview with special counsel Robert Hur that's at the center a Republican effort to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress, the Justice Department told lawmakers in a letter publicly released on Thursday.
It comes as the House Oversight and Accountability Committee and the Judiciary Committee are each expected to hold a hearing to recommend that the full House refer Garland to the Justice Department for the contempt charges over the department's refusal to hand over the audio.

TACOMA, Wash. (TND) — A pregnant woman has been charged with murder after her 3-year-old son was found dead and “cold to the touch” inside an apartment, Sunday evening, and the details are chilling.
Ivey Lewis, 25, pleaded not guilty to a count of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder.
Police in Tacoma, Wash., said officers went to the apartment after getting a report of an unresponsive child from a friend of the mother who went there to “hang out” after the Super Bowl.

Cambria County, PA — Like many businesses before, a roller-skating rink is now open at the galleria mall. Some locals say they’re skeptical of its longevity, while others continue to show their appreciation. The mall’s owner Leo Karruli says he is happy that this project is finally finished. JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Tuesday is the grand opening of Beyond/Hello, Johnstown’s first of two medical marijuana dispensaries to open.
Beyond/Hello is located on Main Street and offers products for all 23 conditions eligible to be treated by medical marijuana. There are eight point of sales in the shop, and the facility also includes a private consultation room.
According to Blythe Huestis, the president of Beyond/Hello, there will always be a security guard and a pharmacist on site.
